Knitted vest with a portrait of Kwame Ture who’s original name was Stokely Carmichael. Kwame was born Trinidad in 1941 and passed away in 1998. He was a civil rights activist and known for the “Black Power” slogan in the United States. He was also married to Mariam Makeba for a short time and moved with her to Guinea, West Africa.
